Thankyou for taking the time to visit my blog!
Friday I took Corey to Graves Park to meet up with some mums from the Bliss forum. We usually meet up once a month and have a natter. Had a great time and Corey loved running around and playing in the playground! Here's a few pics.
These are 2 of the layouts i did for the Little Cottage Crafts Design Team. The kit this month was AMM and so i did a layout of my when i was little(the princess one) and one of my friends Daughter Grace. How adorable is she!
I just haven't wanted to blog this last week so excuse the lack of post. I can't for the life of me remember what has happened this past 7 days either so i shall probably have to update later lol! I have a memory span of a fish i can tell ya!
Oh i did remember something, Corey have nearly 4 new words! Now by normal standards this is no big deal but as Corey hardly says anything and nothing at all new in 6-8 months this is fab. He now says Go, No, Big and Bigger. It's so very cute to hear and i will try and catch him on camera later!
Ok so i hate posting pics of me but i thought i would today. This is me wearing my new glasses. I've never had to wear glasses before but the optician said they may benefit me for distance as my eyes get very tired and twitchy.
You know how some scrapbook paper are actually bigger than 12x12 because they have an extra bit telling you what make they are and what collection? Well today at the crop i did a 12x12 LO of Corey(suprise suprise) and i used the reverse of the paper(it's Fancy Pants Spiffy). On getting home i've realised you can see the strip on the side i haven't used but as i used the reverse you can't see it therefore i never cut it off and now i have a layout that is bigger than 12x12 and it won't fit in my album! Theres no room to cut anything off either. Bummer!!!
DH has been off all week and he really has been amazing. He's given Corey his meals most days(something that with a food aversive child can be a nightmare), he's played and kept him occupied while i got stuff done, he's made me breakfast, he's taken us out to nice places, and everyday bar one he has gotten up and let me stay in bed. He's a wonderful man!
Well i have loads at the minute! Without tempting fate i have done 2 LOs and 1 card in the last 2 days that i am happy with. Not my usual style as they are pink but that's all i can say really as they are for the Little Cottage Crafts DT. Have really enjoyed doing something different for a change. Today has been one of those slob about, scrap and do the odd bit of tidying up days. It's my time of the month so am feeling a but drained and frumpy so didn't really feel like doing much. DH took Corey and his other kids out for lunch which was great for me as i could just lounge about and scrap :) Crop tomorrow and i am SO looking forward to it. Right off to watch the Big Brother eviction. Can't wait to see Grace get booed!!!!!(yes i know i'm a bitch!)
How is it possible to spend so much money on groceries when there is only 3 of us? DH doesn't eat much and Corey either so i guess i must be the muncher in the house!! I must learn to not go shopping whilst i'm hungry!
Because DH is off work this week things are a little more hectic than usual. Hectic in a good way mind as we've been spending alot of time as a family which we don't get much of a chance to do so it's been great. Sunday we got up early and went to Bridlington for the day. Couldn't take any pictures because i still have no camera :( but Corey had great fun and was straight in the sea. He's not that bothered about building sand castles and stuff but enjoyed getting in the water even though it was freezing! The weather was gorgeous though and as always i underestimated the power of the british sun and got burnt. The back of my neck is still rather sore. We ate fish and chips on the beach and hate a brilliant day. Monday was a hectic day for me. Corey had a dieticians appt in the morning and speech clin at a different hospital in the afternoon. DH dropped us off at the hospital in the morning and then had stuff to do at home. The dietician was pleased. Corey is still 26lb but has grown to 90cms so he is growing albeit only upwards. She says for his actual age he is following the 9th centile for his weight and the 25th for height. She doesn't need to see us in person again but we will be able to call her if we need her for support in the future. Then we headed over the the Children's hospital for his speech group. He was so well behaved and sat quietly waiting for his turn with things. He did some signing and also matched shapes and animals when asked too. I was really proud of him. We go again in 2 weeks time. Yesterday we all went swimming. We haven't really taken him swimming that much but i would love to start doing so. Once he was in the water he really enjoyed it and really liked coming down the little baby slide they had there. He looked so cute in his little Bob the Builder wet suit! Today he has been to nursery and dave and I went to the local shopping centre for a mooch round and we also had lunch there. Corey had a good time at nursery although he didn't eat much lunch which meant we had to give him something when he came home. He made a wonderful England card in commemoration of the World Cup and did some colouring in too. He really does love going!

I tried to create a post a couple of days ago but blogger was having none of it. Quite a few things going on at the moment. DH is now on holiday so i'm looking forward to being able to chill out a bit more and spend some time as a family. Yesterday we went and got loads of plants and i spent a couple of hours filling containers for the front and back of the house. Then we spend a lovely afternoon in the garden and had a BBQ for dinner. In fact we had a BBQ yesterday cause the weather has been so very hot! Today is no exception and it is a scorcher! Why am i indoors then? Well i'm putting a little buffet together as we are having a few people over for the 1st England match of the World Cup. I'm quite excited and hopefully England can get a win in the bag to start us off on the road to winning for the first time in 40yrs! I currently have withdrawal symptoms as i am still without my camera :( Nikon told me it was expected to be fixed before June 8th but after it didn't turn up i emailed them and they have now said they are waiting for parts. GRrrrrrrrrrrrr! Wednesday and went off and got my hair cut. It was quite long but i never have it down because it is curly and frizzy and so it takes me 1 1/2hrs to straighten it. So i have had it cut into a really short bob and hopefully now it will be more manageable. Yesterday and went to get my eyes checked. I do feel that my eyesight isn't as good as it used to be and this was confirmed as i now have slight short sightedness. It isn't anything to worry about but i now have a pair of glasses on order. I have a bad twitch in my left eye and we're hoping that occasionally wearing them may make this go away. I'm not to wear them all the time or i may get used to them. This morning i received some yummy papers from Tracie at Little Cottage Crafts. Will get to work on them next week! Here's a picture of a LO i finished midweek and also a picture i took with Dave's camera. This is the result we get when we ask Corey to smile!
Ok so a few people asked me how to upload videos to my blog. Heres a very brief run through.
Connect your video camera to your PC and upload the video you want to share. I use Windows Movie Maker but i'm sure there are other programs (you may need a DV lead)
Then all you need to do is upload the movie file to a host like YouTube or Putfile
Once it's uploaded it should give you a code to insert into your website
Today, i'm afraid to say, i am going to do bog all and laze in bed. Had a bad nights sleep so feel tired and fragile and DH really helped when he saw i'd had the scales out this morning. I used them to weigh Corey but DH thought i'd been using them and politely said ' So have you gained anything, you're looking a bit chunky' Well i won't tell you what my reply was but let's just say we are now not talking and he has gone out with the boy. MEN!!!
I am now a proud member of the Little Cottage Crafts Design team!! I've been a member of their forum since it first began a few months ago and have loved chatting to the girls so it was awesome when they asked for DT members. It's a great shop and they have some scrummy yummy goodies! Here are 2 of the 3 things i submitted, a layout and an altered item(which in this case was a letter that the lovelyAnam brought me back from Canada) I am so excited!!
Can you believe i have finished another layout, YAY! This was a hard one to do. It's a gift for my Auntie & Uncle(i'm going to frame it) and as i don't know what they like i had to just guess. Fingers crossed they do!
We've had a fabulous day today! It's was the monthly gathering of the preemie mums and we had a lovely time. I got very broody whilst cuddling a little girl Iona who is just the most adorable little girl. Also one of the girlies has just had a full termer and he is stunning. It was very inconsiderate of him not to wake up for cuddles though lol! We sat and chatted for over 3 hrs about anything and everything but mostly the babies. It's so good to get together with other mums who actually know what you're talking about! Can't wait for the next one!
